CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Kaleb Scott scored 17 points, Marquis Barnett made a go-ahead putback with 15.8 seconds left and Presbyterian beat Gardner-Webb 77-75 on Wednesday night.
Scott added six rebounds and three blocks for the Blue Hose (11-14, 3-7 Big South Conference). Kobe Stewart added 14 points while shooting 5 for 9, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc, and he also had nine rebounds. Samage Teel was 3 of 9 shooting and 6 of 10 from the free throw line to finish with 12 points.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs (11-13, 6-3) were led in scoring by DQ Nicholas, who finished with 19 points. Quest Aldridge added 16 points for Gardner-Webb. In addition, Caleb Robinson finished with 14 points and six rebounds. The loss ended a six-game winning streak for the Runnin’ Bulldogs.
